2000 Guzara Allowance
Zakat is an important part of Islam and it is commanded in the Qur’an and Sunnah. The Islamic Republic of Pakistan establishes a proper organization of Zakat and Usher. These Zakat and Ushar are deducted by banks, companies, and financial institutions operating the assets.
The amount of Zakat is deposited in the Central Zakat Fund of the State Bank of Pakistan. After that, this amount of Zakat is transferred from the Central Zakat Fund to the Provincial Fund.
As a result, it is transferred to the District Zakat Committees of all major districts of Pakistan for the chronically poor. District Zakat Committees transparently distribute this amount among the deserving and poor people under the expenditure allowance.
The purpose of a living allowance is to help people to live according to Islamic principles and to eradicate poverty in society. Deserving disabled and poor people can get 2 thousand rupees per month through Guzara Allowance.

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility of people for the 2000 Guzara Allowance is assessed by the local committee of the applicant’s respective district according to Islamic principles.
- Blind and disabled persons who have no dependents and who are economically weak can be eligible for the Guzara Allowance and can get money from it.
- People who have no source of employment and no means to support their families can also benefit from it.
- Habitual beggars are not included in the subsistence allowance, they have been declared ineligible.
- Those poor people who have unmarried daughters and are unable to bear the expenses of their marriage. Guzara Allowance also provides special assistance to these people.
- People who are suffering from chronic poverty or whose current poverty score is less than 30 can also benefit from the Guzara Allowance and can receive an amount of Rs 2,000 per month.
- Persons meeting the prescribed criteria will be eligible for special assistance.

How To Apply For 2000 Guzara Allowance
Applying for a Guzara Allowance is very easy, you don’t need to go far for it. You can apply and get relief funds only if you are living in your city or region.
- If your poverty score is less than 30 and you think you are eligible for a Guzara Allowance, contact your area chairman.
- Apply to get the Local Zakat Committee co-fund through the Chairman.
- The local Zakat Committee will determine your eligibility, after which you will be issued a monthly fund of Rs.2,000.
- Guzara Allowance for blind and disabled persons can paid through the banking branch.

The Punjab Government has launched many relief programs for poor and deserving people, one of them is Living Allowance. Under which complete relief is given to those living below the poverty line.
- The Guzara Allowance provides an amount of around Rs.10,000 to deserving individuals.
