Caretaker Relief Package
The newly elected Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, has announced the launch of a new program, The Caretaker Relief Package, in her swearing-in ceremony. In which free ration will be provided to poor and deserving people. Its estimated cost is more than 15 billion rupees. Not only ration will be provided but it will also be delivered to their doorstep.
Ration distribution under this program will start in the second week of March. Maryam Nawaz said that seeing people standing in queues to get help from the government makes me feel sad. I can understand their pain, we will work together day and night to solve their problems. They will be provided with all the facilities they deserve. As Ramadan is very near, the Caretaker Relief Package has been launched before this holy month.
So that deserving people and poor people who are unable to meet their household expenses due to inflation can easily get rations to get strength for the special prayers of Ramadan. The ration should be delivered to their homes to save time.

Online registration methods will be introduced in the Caretaker Relief Package very soon. So that people can easily register themselves in this program sitting at home and be eligible to receive ration. Maryam Nawaz said that the implementation of this package will start in the second week of March.
This method of registration will be introduced earlier. No mode of online registration has been revealed yet in this relief package. Eligibility Criteria
The assessment of people’s eligibility for the Caretaker Relief Package is slightly different from previous assistance programs. Eligible candidates nominated by BISP will also be eligible for this package. The eligibility criteria limit has been increased due to the increasing shortage. The backward classes as well as the middle class people will also be able to benefit from this package.
- People whose poverty score is less than 50 will be able to benefit from this.
- Those who do not hold government jobs.
- In whose name no valuable property is registered.
- In whose name no vehicle is registered.
- People whose monthly income is less than 60 thousand will also be eligible for this package.

Resurvey for Caretaker Relief Package
As the eligibility criteria for this package are different. The residents of Pakistan, irrespective of the caste they belong to, have been severely affected by Minhagai. Therefore, this time the limit of eligibility criteria has been increased. Maryam Nawaz said that the people of Punjab will be surveyed again in 3 months.
Through which people will be included in this program after checking their eligibility. So that the deserving people who were disqualified from earlier assistance programs can also benefit from this package.
Cheap Ramadan Bazaar
Ms. Maryam Nawaz has also announced to set up a cheap Ramadan bazaar from where people of every class will be able to get special discounts on food items. No eligibility criteria have been set for purchasing from here. The prices of things in the Ramadan bazaar are much lower than in the normal bazaar. Apart from the Nagran relief package, cheap Ramadan bazaars will also be set up. So that people can benefit as much as possible in this holy month of Ramadan and get special prayers.
A price control committee will be started to make the Ramadan bazaar effective. So that people don’t have to pay more than the fixed amount. Cheap Ramadan bazaars are being set up by the government of Pakistan, due to which cheap items are now available.
