Free Laptop And iPad Distribution Scheme For Students. Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif presided over a high-level meeting and announced the launch of the free laptops and iPads scheme. He said that we would provide free laptops and iPads to students from eligible universities. The scheme to distribute free laptops and iPads was launched in 2011.
Under this scheme, laptops and iPads will distributed to students who have excelled in education. Special focus has been given to those who will secure 60% marks in the examination system and 70% marks in the semester system. The Punjab government used to distribute one lakh laptops to talented students every year under this scheme.
Pakistan’s newly elated Prime minister Shahbaz Sharif has announced to provision of iPads along with laptops while expanding this program. The main objective of this scheme is to remove the obstacles in the education of gifted students.
Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif announced the free laptop and iPad distribution scheme in the meeting and said that students who want laptops will get laptops, and those who want iPads will given iPads.

Eligible Students For Free Laptop and iPad Distribution Scheme
Shahbaz Sharif stated that this program will only be open to students already enrolled or eligible. The merit list will not change.
New incoming students will screened, and after they meet the criteria for eligibility, laptops and iPads will distributed. Students can qualify for the scheme of free distribution of iPads and laptops if they meet the conditions below.
- This scheme is only open to Pakistani students.
- Students in their first semester of BSc, enrolled at Universities of Agriculture, Engineering, Veterinary, and Animal Sciences, and Colleges of Technology, who scored more than 60% in the last annual exam. This program may allow them to receive a laptop or iPad for free.
- Students who scored 70 per cent and above in their annual exams are eligible for the free laptops and iPad distribution scheme. The students are also eligible to receive a free iPad and laptop.
- Shahbaz Sharif announced that 100 students with 70 per cent or more success at the Technical Board and Subh Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education will receive iPads and laptops.
- The B-Form must issued by NADRA for students under 18, and the National Identity Card must be valid for those 18 years old or older.
- This scheme is also open to students from Jammu Kashmir and Azad.

محمد شہباز شریف نے اعلیٰ سطحی اجلاس کی صدارت کرتے ہوئے مفت لیپ ٹاپ اور آئی پیڈ سکیم کے اجراء کا اعلان کیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم اہل یونیورسٹیوں کے طلباء کو مفت لیپ ٹاپ اور آئی پیڈ فراہم کریں گے۔ مفت لیپ ٹاپ اور آئی پیڈ تقسیم کرنے کی اسکیم 2011 میں شروع کی گئی تھی۔ اس اسکیم کے تحت لیپ ٹاپ اور آئی پیڈز تعلیم میں نمایاں کارکردگی کا مظاہرہ کرنے والے طلباء میں تقسیم کیے جاتے ہیں۔ امتحانی نظام میں 60% اور سمسٹر سسٹم میں 70% نمبر حاصل کرنے والوں پر خصوصی توجہ دی جاتی ہے۔ پنجاب حکومت اس سکیم کے تحت ہر سال ہونہار طلباء میں ایک لاکھ لیپ ٹاپ تقسیم کرتی تھی۔
پاکستان کے نومنتخب وزیر اعظم شہباز شریف نے اس پروگرام کو وسعت دیتے ہوئے لیپ ٹاپ کے ساتھ آئی پیڈ فراہم کرنے کا اعلان کیا ہے۔ اس اسکیم کا بنیادی مقصد ہونہار طلبہ کی تعلیم میں حائل رکاوٹوں کو دور کرنا ہے۔ محمد شہباز شریف نے اجلاس میں مفت لیپ ٹاپ اور آئی پیڈ تقسیم کرنے کی سکیم کا اعلان کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ جو طلباء لیپ ٹاپ چاہتے ہیں انہیں لیپ ٹاپ ملیں گے، آئی پیڈ چاہنے والوں کو آئی پیڈ دیا جائے گا۔

Ineligible Students
- Those students who have studied outside the country have yet to be included in the free laptop and iPad distribution scheme.
- Students who do not have a valid National Identity Card or Bay Form issued by NADRA have also been declared ineligible for this scheme.
- MPhil or MS scholars who are receiving Higher Commission scholarships are also ineligible for the scheme.
- Those students who are doing jobs along with studies will also not be included in this scheme.
- Students who have already received laptops from this scheme will not be eligible to receive laptops or hi-pads twice.
