Initiatives of BISP to Provide Assistance to Deserving People. Benazir Income Support Program is a welfare program launched by the Government of Pakistan, under which many schemes were run. The BISP program was started by the government of Pakistan in 2008 under the government of Pakistan People’s Party.
This program was named after the former Prime Minister of Pakistan Ms. Benazir Bhutto, who was the first female Prime Minister of Pakistan.
BISP provides financial assistance to women belonging to weak families and helps to improve their socio-economic status. The primary aim of this program is to eliminate poverty in Pakistan. Following are some initiatives of BISP.

Transgender women have also been included in the Benazir Kafalat Program. For the first time in the history of Pakistan, a step was taken for transgenders.

But now the procedure of registration in this program has been changed. Now the offices of the Benazir Income Support Program have been established at the tehsil level, through which people can easily get their registration done at their desired time. This method of registration is called a dynamic survey.

Who Is Eligible For The Benazir Income Support Program
The Benazir Income Support Program has targeted women from low-income families. Under this program, only those women are eligible, whose monthly income is 30 thousand or less. Households with a monthly income of more than 30,000 have been declared ineligible under this program.
Government employees have also been declared ineligible for this program.
People who are living abroad or who have ever traveled abroad are not eligible for this program. To qualify for this program, people must be residents of Pakistan. Applicants must have a valid National Identity Card to be eligible for this program.
