Purpose of the Khud Mukhtar Program

The Government of Punjab has started an autonomous program under the Social Protection Authority with the determination of national development and economic prosperity. Through this program in 11 districts of Punjab, Muzaffargarh, Bhakkar, Bahawalpur, Mianwali, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Lodhran, Bahawalnagar, Laiya, and Khushab, eligible households receiving financial support from the Benazir Income Support Program. 

For these households’ economic prosperity and development, they are trained to run businesses with financial assets of Rs 72,000 so that they can lifted out of poverty and improve their quality of life by going on the path of prosperity and leading a better business life.
