The Punjab government has started a relief program to help deserving and poor people, the Nigehban Ramazan Relief Package 8070. The main objective of this program is to help deserving people fast during the holy month of Ramadan. About 65 lakh aid hampers have been arranged in the Nighaban Ramadan relief package. Under this program, more than three crore people of Punjab will be able to benefit.
The number of food items in each hamper of Nigehban Ramazan relief package 8070 will consist of 10 kg of flour, 2 kg of rice, 2 kg of sugar, 2 kg of ghee, and 2 kg of gram flour. The task has given to the district administration and the Punjab Food Authority to ensure better quality of food items.
