School Health Program
The School Health Program was launched in January 2005. NCHD launched an integrated program with limited resources provided by an international donor, the Bill and Melinda Guest Foundation. The program aims to underpin poor health as a major root cause of poor classroom performance and early school dropout.
The objective of this program is to provide facilities for learning to all primary school students and to enhance their learning potential. This program aims to remove all barriers to students learning and striving for their future.

Scope Of This Program
The School Health Program was initially launched in 16 districts of Pakistan during 2005-7. This program was initiated by NCHD. Three from Frontier Province, four from Sindh Province, five from Punjab, and four from Balochistan covered 27115 primary schools. 69224 teachers were trained so that they can teach children better. 2.17 million students benefited from this program.
This program has been replicated in 12 districts as part of the Integrated Primary Health Care Model Program of Punjab to further expand it to provide better education to students. Training Provided to Teachers by the School Health Programme
All their teachers and primary school teachers are trained once a year by the School Health Program to teach children. The purpose of training teachers is to improve the education of children because children are the future of the nation and this is a great step taken for their future success. The program provides teacher training on health program interventions once a year.

District Master Trainers

Provision Of Glasses
Ophthalmologists organized an eye check-up camp in their educational institutions to identify students. Free spectacles were provided to visually impaired students. The poor eyesight of these students is often not known to their parents. But poor eyesight was constantly affecting his academic achievements. So free glasses were provided for their treatment.
Community Support System
Community participation was ensured through the creation of a CSS platform at the local level to support program activities.
Students Include Deworming
All male and female students were dewormed every six months during the 2.18M program period. At the end of the first program, Pakistani children were considered more likely to be infected with worms.
