Punjab Green Tractor Scheme
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched the Punjab Green Tractor Scheme. Under this scheme, farmers belonging to Punjab will be provided a subsidy of 6 lakh rupees on the purchase of tractors. It has announced to give 70% subsidy on purchase of a small tractor and 50% subsidy on the big tractor.
The number of tractors under this scheme has increased to 10,000 at the suggestion of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. Chief Minister Punjab Ms. Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that the first phase of this scheme will completed in one year.
Every year more and more tractors will be provided to the farmers under this scheme. Chief Minister Punjab has also approved the high-tech mechanization program developed at the local level. He said that foreign companies will manufacture harvesters and other agricultural implements in Punjab. Foreign companies will considered for the proposal of manufacturing and giving incentives in Punjab for modern equipment.

Who Is Eligible For Punjab Green Tractor Scheme
To be included in the Punjab Green Tractor Scheme, specific eligibility criteria have set, which must fulfilled. Farmers who do not meet the eligibility criteria will not be able to get tractors at discounted rates under this scheme.
- Only people belonging to the farming sector can be eligible for the Punjab Green Tractor Scheme.
- Only those farmers who belong to Punjab will be eligible for the Punjab Green Tractor Scheme.
- Farmers belonging to any city or district other than Punjab province cannot get a discount on the purchase of a tractor under this scheme.
- To buy a tractor under the scheme, the farmers must have a land area of 6 acres to 50 acres.
- Farmers having an area of less than 6 acres will not be able to get a subsidy on the purchase of a tractor.
- Farmers must have a valid National Identity Card to benefit from the scheme.
- On the identity card, their current address must be from any city related to Punjab.

پنجاب گرین ٹریکٹر سکیم
وزیر اعلیٰ مریم نواز شریف نے پنجاب گرین ٹریکٹر سکیم کا آغاز کر دیا۔ اس سکیم کے تحت پنجاب سے تعلق رکھنے والے کسانوں کو ٹریکٹر کی خریداری پر 6 لاکھ روپے کی سبسڈی دی جائے گی۔ چھوٹے ٹریکٹر کی خریداری پر 70 فیصد اور بڑے ٹریکٹر پر 50 فیصد سبسڈی دینے کا اعلان کیا گیا ہے۔ سابق وزیر اعظم پاکستان میاں محمد نواز شریف کی تجویز پر اس سکیم کے تحت ٹریکٹرز کی تعداد بڑھا کر 10,000 کر دی گئی ہے۔ وزیر اعلیٰ پنجاب محترمہ مریم نواز شریف نے کہا کہ اس سکیم کا پہلا مرحلہ ایک سال میں مکمل ہو گا۔
ہر سال اس اسکیم کے تحت کسانوں کو زیادہ سے زیادہ ٹریکٹر فراہم کیے جائیں گے۔ وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب نے مقامی سطح پر تیار کیے گئے ہائی ٹیک میکینائزیشن پروگرام کی بھی منظوری دے دی ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ غیر ملکی کمپنیاں پنجاب میں ہارویسٹر اور دیگر زرعی آلات تیار کریں گی۔ غیر ملکی کمپنیوں کو پنجاب میں جدید آلات کی تیاری اور مراعات دینے کی تجویز پر غور کیا جائے گا۔

Registration Of Punjab Green Tractor Scheme
Under the Punjab Green Tractor Scheme, registration has to be done to get a discount on the purchase of a tractor. By registering regularly in this scheme, you will get a 50 to 70 percent subsidy on a tractor. Farmers should visit their nearest branch of Punjab Bank for registration. After registration, eligible farmers will be able to buy tractors with the participation of Punjab Bank.
Ms. Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that farmers will encouraged to use solarization systems for tube wells. Kisan cards will be provided to farmers to get agricultural implements, tractors, or solar systems.

The Punjab Green Tractor Scheme has declared as a historic package for the farmers. Under this scheme, for the first time in the history of Pakistan, a subsidy of 400 billion rupees is being provided to the farmers. This is the first big farmer package in Punjab.
Ms. Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that under this scheme, agricultural inputs and other benefits and facilities will also be provided to the farmers. Better measures will taken for the prosperity of farmers and an increase in agricultural production in Punjab.
He further said that tube well solarization and drip irrigation systems will be promoted to increase agricultural production. Improving agricultural production in the country is one of our primary goals.
